About us

Unlocking opportunities for immigrants within the value chains in Real Estate, Construction, and Agriculture

Who we are
The Organization for Immigrant Support and Economic Reintegration (OISER) is a fully Canadian registered Not-for-Profit organization.
The focus is on empowering immigrants in Canada by providing the requisite resources, training, and opportunities needed for successful economic integration.

Our commitment is to unlock opportunities for immigrants within the value chains in Real Estate, Construction, and Agriculture. We have identified the gaps and are set to create access points across these industries, we provide the platforms for training and the support needed for immigrants to build meaningful careers and actively contribute to the Canadian economy and the communities in which they settle
Our approach
Our strategic focus is on bridging the gap between immigrant talent and market demands
OISER’s approach is centered on addressing the economic challenges faced by immigrants, offering industry-specific training programs, entrepreneurial support, job placement services, and community resources that promote long-term integration, retention and success stories.
Our strategic focus is on bridging the gap between immigrant talent and market demands, helping to close the labor shortages in the critical sectors while fostering inclusivity and economic growth

Where’s the gap?

Where’s the glut?
Canada’s agriculture sector faces chronic labor shortages: over 28,000 jobs went unfilled in 2022, and the Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council forecasts 100,000 vacant roles by 2030.
In construction and housing, an estimated 80,000–93,000 jobs remain open, and BuildForce projects a shortfall of 85,000 by 2033
While tech talent is important, Canada’s most urgent labor gaps aren’t in offices—they’re on farms and construction sites

About the OTIP Program

The OISER Training & Industry Immersion Program (OTIP) is a workforce development program designed to equip immigrants with hands-on skills, Canadian experience, and direct pathways to employment in high-demand sectors of Agriculture, Real estate/Construction, and Housing.
OTIP combines targeted training, mentorship, counseling & Wellness, support and industry immersion, sometimes paid, to bridge the gap between immigrant potential and Canada’s real labor market needs
Real Pathways, Not Just Promises
We don’t sell dreams. We build practical, local pathways that lead to real jobs, income, and integration — in sectors that matter: Agriculture, Construction, and Housing
Counseling & Care are Built-In
Unlike traditional workforce programs, mental health and settlement counseling are integrated into our model. We care for the whole person, not just their résumé
More Than Training — We Offer Belonging
Through mentorship, career counseling, and community, we offer more than skills. We help you build confidence, direction, and connection — because reintegration is emotional as much as it is economic
Designed for Immigrants, by Immigrants
OISER understands the immigrant journey because we’ve lived it. Our programs are culturally relevant, compassionately-led, and rooted in the realities of starting over in a new country
We Partner With Those Who Hire
We work directly with employers, builders, farms, and institutions across Canada & provinces — so our training are designed to lead to industry immersion, job referrals, and consistent income opportunities
We’re Building the Future — Together
OISER is more than a program — it’s a movement. When you join us, you become part of a community reshaping Canada’s economy through immigrant talent and local collaboration
